Unfortunately, going to sleep these days is no longer simply closing our eyes: it's driving ourselves crazy with worries, having to buy anti-wrinkle pillows, and meeting metrics on the clock that promise us rest.
Sleep, once a biological, intimate, and natural act, has today become an emotional phantom that we try to neutralize with apps, products and technologies. But amid all this obsession with surviving the night, there is an ancient alternative: returning to simplicity. Meditating without the pressure of achieving a metric.
In this course, for 30 days, we will meditate for one hour daily before bed or at dawn. Not with efficiency metrics on an app, but with ancestral breathing exercises and ancient meditations that invite us to dilute the excess of emotional stress accumulated in our bodies, to remember what it was like to simply let ourselves fall into the vast darkness of the night.
And in the process, without seeking it, we will clearly experience what meditation truly means. What it truly means to breathe consciously. Without artifice. Only silence, the body, the peace of the dark part of the day, and real rest.
"The night is as important a school as that of the day. We just have to learn to move in its dynamics, which is completely different"
– Sri Aurobindo –
"Meditation is by you, of you, and in you"
– Ramana Maharshi –
The course, designed to improve the quality of our sleep through meditation, lasts 30 days - 1 daily 1-hour session (online) live via Zoom (all sessions will be recorded).
You can do it during any part of the night or just before sunrise, depending on where you are. In the past there have been participants from Argentina, Chile and Europe, with very good results.
Both the techniques and their theory are progressively developed over 30 days, taking care of each part of the process so that the experience is light, simple and subtle, adapting it to the tranquility of the night, the silence of dawn, or the energy of sunrise.
The course is introductory to the secrets of breathing meditation, and open to all people, whether they have meditated before or not.
As theoretical support you will receive material in PDF format with all the information on the meditation techniques and breathing patterns practiced.
Part of the material includes the Manual of The Yoga of Sleep and Dreams, which explains the different levels of dream consciousness, the origin of the images we dream about, and the importance of processing said content through breathing meditation.
Key information to keep in mind for the practice of meditation focused on night and dawn will also be shared, with topics related to glandular physiology, the nervous system, the brain, the psychology of emotions, etc.
In all sessions before meditating, there's a brief talk about the technical and historical aspects of the breathing exercise of the day, as well as the benefits of night meditation in the field of emotions.
At the end of each session space is opened for details, comments, questions and answers.
