I’m Antonio, the person behind Modo Elefante (Elephant Mode), whose name refers to the strength and nobility of these beautiful animals, considered in Hindu mythology as guardians of travellers and wisdom.

It all started about 20 years ago when I meditated for the first time and then, captivated by the culture of silence and that ancient yoga of a more meditative than physical nature, I took an opportunity to go to study in India, without suspecting that I would end up living between that country and Nepal for more than 10 years.

Since then I’ve been fascinated by the idea of living relying on meditation as a key tool for self-knowledge. I also love to take photos, to write and to think freely.

For those reasons, to open this space is my way of thanking the opportunity I had to come into contact with ancient inner well-being techniques during the years I traveled through the Asian subcontinent.

With the meditation programs and retreats proposed here, I hope in some way to contribute to the personal well-being of those who connect with me. Believe me it will be a pleasure to meditate with you.

I extend a deep gratitude to the Vijnana Kala Vedi School of Traditional Indian Arts, an institution with whom I did my first studies in yoga in a course sponsored by UNESCO in 2004. Likewise, to the spirit of T.K.V. Desikachar, son of the legendary T. Krishnamacharya, with whom I had the honor of learning the roots of yoga as an ancient meditation practice when he was alive.

Also my infinite love to The Yoga Institute India, the oldest yoga school in the world, with whom I lived, studied and worked for several years. Their never-ending support, especially when I was seriously ill in the hospital because of my crazy adventures through deep India, will be eternally kept in my heart.
